Bio ABOUT LRW PUBLISHINGLRW Publishing evolved in June 2007 by Chicago native Lisha R. Williams. LRW Publishing is an independent faith-based label created solely for the purpose of publishing the literary and multimedia materials of Lisha. Although Lisha has published other local authors, she is most recognized for her own works. ABOUT THE AUTHORLisha R. Williams was born in Chicago, IL on December 8, 1981. She's the Founder/President of Angels N D’SkysOrganization, a ministry designed to help disadvantaged teens and young adults strive for excellence through the literary and performing arts. The organization, in Lisha's own words, "lost its groove" shortly after the 9-11 tragedy when there was an extreme lack of economical stability. When Lisha first began Angels N D'skys in the year 2000, its main goal was to assistyoung people in believing that they could achieve their goals against all odds.Lisha’s first book, A Teen’s Perspective, was written the same year. She spoke of the struggles she faced during high school, from peer pressure to bullying and school violence. Lisha was a senior in high schoolwhen the Columbine shootings occured on April 20, 1999. This was the incidentthat prompted her to writing books of hope and encouragement. A Teen’s Perspective, consists of poetry, history and short stories. It was a big motivation to young people and a big part of who Lisha was.Lisha’s talent for writing began when she was only nine years old from writing poetry, to songs, to plays. She later took up the interest for acting with a special program at Columbia College in Chicago and was featured in two gospel plays with B.A. Blessing Productions named A Christmas Miracle and Seeking for a Mate. Lisha began writing songs and contributing music for various plays, short films and productions.Lisha’s mission is to provide encouragement to a discourage society. Her profound, poetic and prolific Christian approach made her more recognizable among many. Her most international seller, The You-Turn has been compared to New York Time's Best-sellers Rick Warren’s A Purpose Driven Life, Bruce Wilkerson's Prayer of Jabez, and Joel Osteen's Your Best Life Now. . Lisha shows great maturity in this book by discussing her own real life "You-Turn" experiences.
